Arm mounting position

This adjustment affects opening and closing power only near the closed position. Door power in mid-swing is unaffected.

The Open Sesame door operator is usually mounted so that the edge of the case is two inches over from the hinge line.

NOTE: If the arm position is changed, this will affect the alignment of the magnet (red dot on knurned wheel) and the door closed sensor. Be sure to realign them so that the red light is on when the door is closed.

The mounting position of the arm will determine the maximum opening and closing force of the door. For the Model 100 operator, sold with System II and System III packages, the arm is typically mounted thirteen inches over from the hinge line.
In special cases where there is a lot of weatherstripping that may have to be compressed for the door to close fully, the arm can be mounted in a position (12 inches) that will push the door a little harder.
For the Model 200 operator sold with the public access packages, the arm is mounted 16 inches from the hinge line.
